International Öger Antalya Marathon

A perfectly organized marathon.I ran the half marathon myself and I must say that although it’s a coastline event there was only a small breeze to cool you down a bit.
Temperature was around 19 degrees when the half was starting at 09.30 but maybe 17 at 08.00 when the full was fired away.
The track was smooth and although there were no hills you constantly had the feeling of going up and down.There were only a few flat pieces on the track.Before and after the race there was a possibility to get a massage.During the race there were enough waterpoints [ bottled water only ]and fruit.
A t-shirt and a nice medal were the trophys you could take home to show your friends.
There was one big minor,”the clothingbag dropzone”.
The bags were thrown on a big pile and it took a lot of people more than an hour to get it back.
There was no easy systeem in it and this should be organized differently next year to avoid frustration among runners.
But in total I was very satisfied and it’s an ideal location to combine a marathon with a short holliday break.
