New Jersey Marathon

I will be running in LA soon, but is the New Jersey Marathon worth considering next spring?

To Jackie, I have run LA 3 times and I think that NJ marathon will be much more scenic, and it’s virtually flat unlike LA.
To all, hotels in Long Branch are $$$ so the marathon has arranged a complementary train from NYC penn station. However, it leaves at 4 AM and this is too early for me. Why would I want to arrive at 5:30am 2 hours before the start? Here is my plan:
Stay at Carriage House bed n breakfast in Ocean Grove (732) 988-3232 http://www.carriagehousenj.com/
One double bed reserved but can upgrade to two twin beds.
Walk or taxi ride to NJ Coast Line train (0.8 miles). Leave Asbury Park train station at 5:50am and arrive at Long Branch at 6:06am. Pack all baggage and leave it at the ocean hotel (race HQ). Or ride a taxi all the way to the race (7.4 miles).
Race at 7:30am. Pick up luggage at race HQ.
I paid $112 but i can upgrade for 10-20 I think. Let me know if you would like to split with a 24/male on the hotel and maybe taxi too. Any participant, volunteer, or spectator is welcome. email michael.smokey.collins at gmail dot com
